D&A creates ‘beautiful’ brand collateral for social impact organisation Allia

Allia have been at the forefront of impact innovation since 1999. In this time, they have helped hundreds of start-ups, small businesses and impact ventures to develop and grow, creating thousands of employment opportunities, and transforming communities. Their social finance solutions have raised millions to help charitable organisations with their development and impact aims.

Allia initially approached D&A to look at creating a snap shot leaflet – something to introduce the organisation and show the different strands of work they do. Part of the brief was also a top level look at their existing branding and finding new ways to refresh their visual identity without altering the logo. The final leaflet was an A6 z-fold, printed on uncoated stock. Using soft tints of the core brand palette to highlight the key areas of the organisations and statistics.

Following the success of the leaflet and with Allia celebrating their 20th anniversary this year we have been asked to work on a number of materials. These have included a 2 minute animation to explain the work of the organisation simply and concisely in an engaging format. The animation coupled a sketchy informal illustration style and font, alongside the brand font and colour palette. An upbeat, modern soundtrack was chosen which coupled perfectly with the look and feel of the piece.

We also produced an Impact report, providing a more in-depth overview of the last 20 years. Covering case studies from all parts of the organisation and including an infographic to show a selection of some of the projects they have worked on and the finance issued over the last 20 years. The report was again printed on an uncoated stock, with a clear foiled front cover. And an infographic timeline outlining the some of the key achievements from the last 20 years – this was used on exhibition banners and also online.

We were finally asked to work on the launch of Allia’s new website, producing layout designs and solutions for various pages of the new site. The materials have been very well received and we look forward to continuing our work with the team at Allia.
